Allowing you to take ownership of the equipment you have purchased

• Getting used to using a mouse / touch pad to move the cursor
• Becoming familiar with a keyboard
• Desktop - layout and customisation
• What are Icons
• Toolbars, icons and dropdown menus may be introduced

• Assist with purchase and setup of PC and/or laptop
• Plug it in and setting up your PC with all the equipment you need**
• Plug in and starting up your laptop.
• Helping you install internet connections **
• Setting up user accounts
• Passwords explained
• Explanations of Taskbars, Quick Launch bar toolbars*
• How do I understand the screen... cursors, highlighted bars, active screens*
• Mouse or touchpad use with homework practise.
• Summary how to use a CD rewriter , DVD rewriter
• Use of memory sticks, 'dongles' 'USB pens'
